TIAC was formed in 1987 with the American Land Title Association (ALTA) to provide a secure, stable market for errors and omissions liability insurance for ALTA's title agent and abstracter members. For over 16 years, TIAC has provided this important coverage to ALTA members throughout the country.

TIAC is endorsed as the preferred source for Title Agent’s E&O insurance by most of the major title underwriters including First American, Stewart Title, Fidelity National, Alamo Title, Chicago Title, Security Union, Ticor Title, Old Republic, LandAmerica and Security Title Guarantee.
