TIAC was formed in 1987 with the American Land Title Association (ALTA) to provide a secure, stable market for errors and omissions liability insurance for ALTA's title agent and abstracter members. For over two decades, TIAC has provided this important coverage to ALTA members throughout the country.

TIAC is endorsed as the preferred source for Title Agent’s E&O insurance by all of the major title insurers including Fidelity, First American, Old Republic, Stewart Title, and Security Title Guarantee, and their related title companies.
